This page will help you to register as the Staff Liaison for your high school to the TeensVote! project and sign up students to be Youth Leaders. As a Staff Liaison you will be responsible for two simple tasks:
1) Identify 2-4 Youth Leaders from your school who have significant leadership potential, and would be interested in being paid to train their peers (stipend of $150 for 10 hours work). Some qualities we are looking for: 10th-12th graders, reliable/tend to follow through, excited about leadership/personal growth, respected by their peers. We have no academic expectations or requirements.
2) Following up with your teens to help them schedule at least two voter pre-registration workshops for their peers. These are short (average 25mins) and can be worked into educational time or homerooms or any other space that your school administrators support. We are thrilled to be supported in this statewide work by many districts, including Boston Public Schools.
