For Parents

If your teen is considering getting involved with us, please get in touch so that we can answer any questions you may have. Give us a call any time at 617-492-5599.

Our program staff of three have many years of youth work between them. We believe first and foremost in supporting the social, emotional and intellectual development of teenagers and young adults. We check in throughout the year to see what practical skills your child wants to develop with us, so our staff can best support students in reaching their developmental goals.

Sometimes our social justice work takes us out of the office! In these cases, our staff always accompanies teens wherever we may go.  Examples of recent events include supporting minimum wage hearings at Boston City Hall, our 150-person rally at the Massachusetts State House, an Economic Justice workshop at Follen Community Church in Lexington, and the People’s Climate March in New York City.

Are there things you can do to support our work?  We’re glad you asked!  The answer is yes!  Of course we invite you to donate as generously as you are able. We may be looking for specific donations (like gently used laptop computers) or the occasional volunteer. We might ask you to call your legislator or make a connection with a local business or school for us.  Don’t hesitate to open the lines of communication – it helps us do our job better.
