Writing Exercise
Before you let em enter check the credentials,
Some know the basics, but I'm talking fundamentals
Allow a few slip ups like pardon the accidentals.
It's verbal chess cuz half the game's mental.
Are you taking notes? If not grab a pencil.
I can't do it for you but we'll create a stencil.
Makes sense when you check the points, equilateral,
If you can't keep up, best take a sabbatical.
Best not try to tackle the problem, just ain't practical.
Cuz I get the will get last word, like Supernatural.
I did this in three minutes, it wasn't hard though,
I just pay attention to content while my words flow.

Gimmie a word, racism and we'll flow off the dome,
Leave the grammar unchecked like a defense contractor's cellphone.
That's it fresh off the brain,
Born black in Amerikkka so we can't complain.
Locked out of society while rich white men control the mainframe.
Activists sit back hem and hawing in contemplation.
Wondering why Lolita Lebron shot up the House in frustration.
Maybe it has something to do with idol adulation.
Or Amerikkka's fascination with goods from third world nations.
Or how sex is served with the continental breakfast during corporate sponsored vacations.
Or the number of African babies that died yesterday from AIDS complications.

Poetic Justice

Violence In Peace

I know how to transform violence into freedom
I know how to transform violence into justice
But last but not least
I know how to transform violence into peace

I know how to turn frustration into progress
I've found ways to channel my anger into possitivity until it becomes relief
But I can also turn my words back into weapons lessons somethin' to see

See violence is as a part of nature as a tree or a fruit
Or a southern tree with fruit hanging from it
And I'm not running from it
Because i do not know how to end violence
In fact, I don't believe in the possibility of a world without violence I

Just know how to transform violence into freedom
I know how to transform violence into justice but
last but definitely not least
I know how to transform violence into peace.
