Primarily student run, Boston Mobilization is continually
redefined by the vision and energy of our talented student interns.
Mobe is an action-oriented organization, which runs campaigns on a variety
of issues (see projects), but its underlying mission is to mobilize
the youth of today, provide them with the skills, knowledge and inspiration
to find their voice, and realize that their voice can make a difference
in the future of this country.
We are phasing out the term "intern" as it does not reflect the level of responsibility and participation of our organizers and activists.
As an ORGANIZER, you will put 10-20 hours per week into one of our programs (see specifics below) and participate in all facets of the group. We are phasing out the term "intern" as it does not reflect the level of responsibility of our organizers.
As an ACTIVIST, you will participate in one action every two weeks, and one planning meeting every two weeks.
Student and Community Organizer
As a student and community organizer, you will not be given a slot
to fill and instructions on how to fill it. Because Boston Mobilization
is a youth organization, what we accomplish is up to you! Together
we will define how we work together, what we do and when we do it.
We will map out specific goals and objectives for each project and
for the organization as a whole. Bring your ideas, your enthusiasm
and your creativity and there is no limit to what we can do together.
We are looking for students and youth who want to learn about non-profit
work, activism, community organizing, politics and working together.
