NO MANDATE FOR WAR
YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROJECT'S
FIND YOUR VOICE!

Find Your Voice! is the Youth Empowerment Project’s workshop on gender, sexism, identity, and power.

Using creative writing exercises and original poetry performances, young women are introduced to our frameworks for exploring power and privilege—the 4 I’s of oppression and the cycle of socializations—and guided to explore themes of identity, gender roles, violence, and sexuality.

Participants will strengthen their relationships within their group, be introduced to a framework for understanding oppression, and create their own visions for change through poems, short stories, journal entries, and art pieces.

Mobe delivers this workshop as a 3-week to 3-month series, depending on the needs of the school/organization.
